Our Track Record in Numbers

Plenty of repair shops say they’re experienced. We’d rather show you the records. We have been repairing computers in South West London for over 25 years, and since 2009 — when we moved to a digital ticketing system — every workshop job has been logged. The numbers below come straight from those records: nothing estimated, nothing rounded up. They cover 2009 onwards, so they understate the full history rather than overstate it.

The headline numbers

  • 15,900+ repair jobs logged since 2009
  • 10,000+ customers on our books across South West London
  • 2,800+ returning customers — around 30% of the customers in our archive came back with another device, and 58% of all our jobs have come from returning customers
  • Median turnaround: 3 days from booked in to ready, with 42% of recently invoiced jobs back within two days
  • 4.8/5 rating across 112 Google reviews

What we repair most

Across every ticket we’ve logged, the most common problems customers bring us are:

  1. Computers that won’t power on (2,100+ jobs)
  2. Windows and software problems (1,600+)
  3. Virus and malware infections (1,400+)
  4. Failing hard drives and SSDs (1,200+)
  5. Slow performance (1,200+)
  6. Data recovery and backups (1,100+)

Laptops make up around 78% of everything that crosses our bench. And a detail only sixteen years of records could tell you: liquid damage is the second most common MacBook fault we see — over 390 cases and counting.

Where our work comes from

AreaJobs since 2009
SW15 (Putney, Roehampton)10,200+
SW13 (Barnes, Castelnau)1,400+
SW6 (Fulham, Parsons Green)1,000+
SW18 (Wandsworth, Southfields, Earlsfield)600+
SW19 (Wimbledon, Merton)400+
SW14 (East Sheen, Mortlake)200+

One seasonal pattern has held in 12 of the last 15 years: September is our busiest stretch, as students head back and home offices gear up. If you can, book ahead of the rush.

How we measure

  • Figures come from our workshop ticketing records (2009 to today) and are refreshed from the live system monthly.
  • Turnaround is measured from booking-in date to invoice date — for workshop jobs, the invoice is raised on the day the device is ready and collected. The median includes time waiting for parts and customer approvals, because that’s the honest number.
  • Counts are floored, never inflated — “15,900+” means at least 15,900.
  • If a number can’t be re-derived from a record, we don’t publish it.
