Hardening a Charity's Laptop Fleet for Cyber Essentials Plus
A national charity needed its laptop fleet encrypted, patched and audit-ready for Cyber Essentials Plus. We hardened it centrally via Microsoft Intune.
Specialist Service for A1, P1S, X1 Carbon and AMS

Bambu printers reward owners who maintain them properly and punish those who don't. The all-in-one hotend, the AMS multi-material unit, and the carbon-rod motion system all have specific wear patterns and known failure modes. We work on Bambu Lab printers every week — A1, A1 Mini, P1S, P1P, X1, X1 Carbon, and the AMS / AMS Lite units that go with them. That means we know what wears out at 500 hours versus 2000, which HMS codes mean a clean-and-go versus a parts job, and when a Bambu support ticket is genuinely the smarter route than independent repair.
Tell us what's happening — we'll get back to you same day.
The Bambu hotend is an all-in-one unit — nozzle, heater, thermistor and ceramic block as one. We replace it correctly, including the wiring routing that often gets pinched when fitted in a hurry.
First-stage feeder cleaning and replacement, broken-filament removal from the buffer and tubes, hub sensor diagnosis, and the HMS_0700 error family decoded properly.
Bambu's official guidance is to replace AMS PTFE every two months. We do that during servicing, plus the toolhead PTFE that often gets forgotten until it causes ghost feed errors.
Bambu extruders accumulate filament dust in the gears, particularly with matte PLA. We clean, inspect, regrease, and replace the assembly when the gears are visibly worn rather than waiting for full failure.
Bambu PEI sheets wear out faster than people expect — typically 12–18 months of regular use. We replace plates and re-test bed mesh and tramming, then verify with a full-area first-layer print.
Carbon-rod cleaning and lubrication, lead-screw grease, belt tension check, all fan health, firmware update, full PTFE replacement, plate inspection, and a verification print before handover.
Simple steps to get your problem solved quickly and professionally.
Premium tier with lidar, chamber heater, AMS. Different wear profile to P1 series — see the dedicated X1C page for known issues and service intervals.
Enclosed P1 series without lidar. Manual flow calibration, heatbreak fan failures and door hinges are recurring fixes. P1S model page has the detail.
Open-frame bed-slinger style with AMS Lite. Different hotend design, single-arm Z, and the 2024 heatbed recall context. See the A1 page.
The multi-material unit and its lighter sibling. First-stage feeder issues, broken-filament removal, PTFE replacement. AMS-only page covers it.
