How long does a health check take?
Usually 24-48 hours. Thorough diagnostics, especially drive health checks, take time to do properly. We’ll contact you as soon as results are ready.

Is a health check worth it if my computer seems fine?

My computer is slow but not broken — can a health check help?
That’s exactly what a health check is for. ‘Slow but not broken’ usually has a specific, fixable cause — a cluttered system, too much starting up in the background, a heavy security suite, a full or ageing drive, or too little memory. We find the real bottleneck rather than guessing, and often restore responsiveness without any new hardware. If hardware is the answer, we’ll tell you which upgrade actually makes the difference.
Do I need antivirus software, or is Windows enough?
For most home users, the protection built into Windows is genuinely capable, and stacking a heavy third-party security suite on top often slows the machine more than it protects it. We frequently remove bulky antivirus during a health check and watch the machine speed up. The bigger protections are good habits and a proper backup — we’ll advise what’s actually worth having for how you use your computer.
What do you actually check in a health check?
We look at the whole machine: what’s starting up and running in the background, the health of the storage drive, available memory, temperatures and cooling, pending updates, security, and general clutter. It’s a proper diagnosis, not a quick scan — the aim is to catch small problems before they become failures, and to tell you honestly whether the machine is worth keeping or nearing the end.

Often, yes — and it’s one of the most valuable outcomes. Drives usually give warning signs before they fail outright, and a health check can flag a drive that’s starting to struggle while your data is still safe to move.
